After one year of training, IREL Tradesman Trainee candidates can be absorbed in the W-3 grade with a pay scale of ₹22,000–₹88,000, along with PSU allowances and benefits.

1. Computer-based test: 150 questions (100 on trade knowledge, 50 on general aptitude and English), 2 hours, no negative marking.
